The new season is just a few weeks away and with it the challenge of the 1st XI being in the Premier division for the first time in the club’s 114 year history. Last years double promotion for the Saturday sides also sees the 2nd XI back in Division 5. Once again the club will have a side in the Sunday TT25 competition as well as a team in the top flight of the Dorchester Evening League.
The Junior / Youth section is looking for new Boy and Girl players at U9, U11,U13 and U15 levels. Once again the club is an accredited centre for the All Stars programme, a fun introduction to cricket for 5 to 8 year olds. If you know of any youngsters of any age looking to play, please contact Andy Kent or Herbie Swann.

Dates for you diary:
25th April, Evening league, K O Cup, home v Dewlish. 5th May, 1stXI, home v Sherborne. 2nd XI, away v Cerne Valley 2nds. 13th May, TT25, home v Swanage. 1.30 start. Chairman’s v President’s day, Sunday 29th July. ROGS match, 12th August. Golf Day 7th September. Annual Presentation evening 22nd September.

Can you find a “ Match Ball “ sponsor to give £10 for a match? Sponsors get a free Tea on the day, or another day of their choice.

Now that you’ve grasped the point that BRCC is a self help club, how about seeking out a retired player or older family member to become a Vice President? A small annual fee will make the Vice President welcome with a free tea at all home matches.
